  1. Readme Tryout - file accompanying 
  2. "Adobe Streamline™ Tryout 3.0.1" (for Macintosh)

  4. This is a Tryout version of Adobe Streamline™ 3.1.  The software will
  5. run native on both a Power Macintosh and a 680x0-based Macintosh.  
  6. Because it is a demo version of the actual shipping software,  the 
  7. commands Save Art, Save Art As, Save Pixel Image As, Revert, Cut, 
  8. Copy, and Copy Special have been disabled.  All the other features of the 
  9. application are fully enabled.

  11. To install this tryout software on your system simply drag 
  12. this folder from your CD ROM to your hard disk.  The folder 
  13. contains the application, "Samples" folder, "Tutorial Images" 
  14. folder, "Adobe Streamline Prefs" file and "Plug-ins" 
  15. folder.  If you are running Apple System software version 7.0 
  16. or greater place the "Adobe Streamline Prefs" file in the 
  17. "Preferences" file folder in your "System Folder".  Otherwise 
  18. keep the "Adobe Streamline Prefs" file in this folder.  
  19. If you have an Adobe Photoshop™ 2.5 compatible plug-in for 
  20. your scanner you will need to place it in the Adobe Streamline 
  21. "Plug-ins" folder in order to access it from Streamline.

  24. Macintosh computer with a 68020 or greater processor, 
  25. including Power Macintosh
  26. Apple System software version 6.0.7 or greater, 
  27. including version 7.0 or greater
  28. 2 MB of application RAM
  29. Hard drive

  32. 4 MB or more of application RAM
  33. Apple System Software version 7.0 or greater
  34. Color monitor

  36. Make images flexible in an instant.
  37. Using Adobe Streamline software for Macintosh, you can quickly 
  38. convert any black-and-white bitmapped or color pixel image into 
  39. high-quality Adobe PostScript™ language line art.  Once converted, 
  40. edit the image any way you want.  It keeps it's sharp, clear lines 
  41. at any size.  And it prints cleanly at any resolution.

  43. Simply open an existing image, or scan a photograph, technical 
  44. drawing, logo or sketch directly from within Adobe Streamline with 
  45. the program's easy-to-use interface.  Then adjust the entire image's 
  46. contrast and color.  Or edit sections pixel by pixel.  Choose from 
  47. three customizable conversion methods, and save preferred settings 
  48. for later use.

  50. Once your image is converted into vector-based line art, select objects 
  51. and adjust colors, strokes and weights easily with the Paint Style 
  52. dialog box.  Then export your image to Adobe Illustrator™, 
  53. Adobe Photoshop™, Macromedia Freehand®, or another graphics or page-layout 
  54. program.  Edit it further or use it as is.  Either way, your image will keep 
  55. its clean, crisp lines and will print beautifully at any resolution.
